International meeting in Krakow for the eYES project
eYES project - led by the Department of Computer Science of the University of Pavia (Italya) and coordinated by Multimedia Campus - holds an international meeting in Poland on April 3 and 4.
eYES is an international project funded by the Leonardo da Vinci programme that aims at making available new tools for creating and managing training programmes fully accessible to VIPs:
- An e-learning platform accessible to VIPs
- An authoring tool accessible to visually impaired instructors
- Online courses on Internet security accessible to VIPs
The team has complementary skills in the field of e-learning and VIPs training. In addition to the University of Pavia and Multimedia Campus, other members are:
- BFW - Berufsforderungswerk Düren gGmbH (Germany), a vocational rehabilitation centre for blind and partially sighted persons, www.bfw-dueren.de
- DBSV - Deutscher Blinden-und Sehbehindertenverband (Germany), the German Federation of the Blind, www.dbsv.org
- LiNK - Landesinitiative Neue Kommunikationswege Mecklenburg-Vorpommern (Germany), a special competence centre for e-Learning, www.mvlink.de
- Royal National College for the Blind (UK), the largest and leading specialist training centre in the UK for the blind or visually impaired, www.rncb.ac.uk
- Rehabilitation for the Blind Foundation (Bulgaria), a vocational rehabilitation centre for blind and partially sighted persons, www.rehblind.org
- SOSW - Specjalny Osrodek Szkolno-Wychowawczydla Dzieci Niewidomych i Stabowidzqcych (Poland), the biggest educational centre for the blind in Poland, www.blind.krakow.pl
- Unione Italiana Ciechi (Italy), the Italian Association of the Blind, www.uiciechi.it
