Business English
Opera Multimedia & British Institutes
The Business English series of courses “Opera Multimedia & British Institutes” is comprised of 2 titles:
In both courses a complete grammar syllabus is accompanied by a number of examples and situations drawn from everyday business life: presentations, meetings, international travels, telephone calls, sales letters and multicultural issues.
The courses’ interface and contents are in English, so international learners can use them independently of their mother tongue.
All didactic contents have been developed by British Institutes teachers and are consistent with the syllabus of the Common European Framework (CEF).
Each course’s structure is comprised of 10 teaching units. Units focus on the main linguistic skills: reading, listening, writing, speaking.
Listening activities, often neglected in online products, are here particularly developed. The study and practice of the language are supported by images, animations and interactive exercises.
A new activity “Writing” is dedicated to the production of professional documents such as sales letters, meeting reports, emails, etc..
In each course there are more than 180 interactive exercises and an audio-glossary with more than 800 words.
It is useful to know that
The series is available on CD-ROM, online (from November 2008) and on CD-ROM with tracking (from January 2009).
Both the online and the CD-ROM versions feature the tracking function, for the monitoring of the activities performed and of the results obtained.
The CD-ROM with tracking is new on the Italian market and represents a technological innovation that guarantees the highest flexibility while attending the course. In fact, students can access contents both online and on CD-ROM by connecting to the platform only to send their progress of data.
You can combine the multimedia course with classroom lessons at British Institutes centres, and an online learning environment with in-depth teaching materials and tutoring service.
